Breakfasts, Coffee, Cakes and Lunch
After all that bush and beach exercise, what better way to reward ourselves than to visit one of the dog-friendly cafes, restaurants or wineries in the Ulladulla area.
We particularly liked ‘The Treehouse Cafe‘ in Ulladulla due to its excellent menu. Tarryn eats Gluten Free so she is always on the lookout for something new and exciting. They also serve great coffee with a fantastic array of cakes to choose from.
We hope you love it as much as we do!
The ‘dog-friendly’ area is outside at the front of the cafe, but don’t worry, it’s totally safe from traffic and pedestrians. It’s enclosed by a wooden picket fence … “well done The Treehouse!”.
The staff were also very attentive & friendly when asked to supply water for the two dogs.
Another new favourite of ours is Greendale’s Cafe & Restaurant. It’s a bit of a trek from Ulladulla, at 70 kms north, but as you can see from the feasts below, well worth the visit to catch up with some friends we have in the area. The boys didn’t need lunch after this one!

Other dog-friendly places to eat in the area are;
- The Native Cafe, Ulladulla
- Boardwalk Cafe, Ulladulla
- Beach Hut Cafe, South end of Mollymook Beach
- Pilgrims, Milton
- Cupitt’s Winery (Between Milton & Ulladulla)
Fish & Chips
The Fish Shop in Burrill Lake produces some great local seafood and is a popular stop for those passing through the area, especially on the weekends, which can see a line of people out the door waiting for their hot packages. We met up with friends and took our order down to Bungalow Park, which is just the other side of the bridge from he Fish Shop to sit and watch the surf whilst eating.
Pies
For those of you with a pie fetish, try Hayden’s Pies. This is a small cafe which has got to make some of the best pies in Australia …. and we’ve tried a fair few. They have a seated ‘dog-friendly’ area outside so your fur babies can keep you company too and most days they serve around 3 different varieties of gluten-free pies.
